CAMINO is a 2.5 ton earth and cement mixed sculpture surrounding Kiinagashimas' Yugakutei well. It was constructed between December 20th to December 31st, 2010. CAMINO was opened to the public on January 7th, 2011.

N.P.O. A Piece of Cosmos invited us with a grant to be "Artist's in Residence" from December 19th, 2010 to January 9th, 2011. Upon visiting the sight prior to the residency we were impressed with about 100 year old well that was covered and could not be appreciated. Our project involved rehabilitating the well. Living on site allowed us the time to absorb the surrounding environment, including the local World Heritage sites of Kumanokodo, where we collected stones, roots, and inspiration to incorporate into the well.

Our sculpture that now surrounds the well has both sound and internal viewing holes for various ways to interact with the piece. There is a pump, a collecting pool, and a waterfall runoff for the community to use the well and remember the importance of where water comes from. Plus, there is an internal LED light hidden inside the well, tucked between rocks so that it can light up the space at night. The stones that once covered the well now frame it with a small garden.

CAMINO「カミノ」は紀伊長島ゆうがく邸の井戸を囲む2.5トンの土とセメントを混ぜて作られた彫刻である。
この彫刻は2010年12月20日から31日にわたって制作された。

CAMINOは2011年の1月7日に公開された。

私たちはN.P.O.　ア・ピース・オブ・コスモスによって12月19日から2011年1月9日までゆうがく邸のアーティスト・イン・レジデンスのプログラムに招聘された。
以前にゆうがく邸をおとずれた時、私たちは100年もの間石でふたをされて、使用されずにいる井戸に感銘を受けた。
私たちのプロジェクトはその井戸を復活させることだった。滞在中に、私たちは世界遺産である熊野古道を含むこの周囲の環境にのめり込み、そこから採集した石や、木の根っこさらにはこの地域から受けたインスピレーションを井戸につぎ込んだ。

今その井戸を囲む私たちの作品には、様々な方法でそれに関わりが生まれたように、音を聞く穴と中をのぞく穴の両方開けられた。
実際に水を井戸からくみ上げて利用でくるようにポンプが取り付けられ水の溜まり場が備え付けられている。水がいったいどこからわいてくるのかという大切さも思い起こさせてくれる。井戸の内部にはLEDライトが石の間に取り付けられていて、夜間にはあたりをライトアップできるようになっている。
井戸を覆っていた長方形の6個の石は周りに埋められ、そこにはタマリュウが植えられた。
